Traverse the waters of the Great Barrier Reef on board Cruise
Whitsundays' vessel, Seaflight, a 37-metre wave piercer as you head out
to an amazing pontoon at Knuckle Reef Lagoon. Relax in reserved seating
in the Captain's Lounge on the mid-deck of the fully air-conditioned
vessel with refreshments served throughout the day, including a
sumptuous buffet lunch. Knuckle Reef Pontoon offers undercover seating

Discovery Day
Discovery Day is an unforgettable sea kayak adventure. Discover the

‘hello’ or see majestic white-breasted sea eagles guarding their nests

Seaplane Adventures
Air Whitsunday, the largest seaplane operator in the Southern
Hemisphere, has served the needs of Hayman’s guests for 30 years. Their
fleet includes five De Havilland Beavers, famous for their reliability
and safety. Air Whitsunday’s pilots are dedicated to ensuring you have a
safe and memorable experience.
Reef Adventure
Departing daily, seaplanes will showcase the magnitude of the Great
Barrier Reef from above, before landing and transferring to private semi
submersibles at Hardy Reef for two hours coral viewing and snorkelling.
Enjoy aerial views of Hook, Hardy and Heart Reefs from above and explore
this amazing underwater world from below. The seaplanes have large,
unobstructed windows, perfect for photography and personal headsets. The
semi submersibles have an underwater viewing chamber, sun and shade

Whitehaven Experience
Whitehaven Beach is often voted as one of the best beaches in the world,
famous for its incredibly white silica sand. This tour includes return
seaplane flights (approx. 15 minutes each way), two hours at Whitehaven

please arrange this in advance with Hayman. In some weather conditions,

For a complete experience, visit the Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven

Fantasea Reefworld
Fantasea Reefworld is the largest purpose-built pontoon facility on the
Great Barrier Reef. Seaplanes depart daily for Reefworld and include
aerial views of Hayman, Hook Island, Hardy Reef and Heart Reef, before
splashing down on the pontoon. Guests have the option of snorkelling and
diving, riding the semi-submersible or simply enjoying being part of the
largest living structure on earth. Reefworld has showers, conveniences,
sun and shade areas and provides snorkelling equipment. Certified divers
are required to produce their qualification prior to boarding their
seaplane. Tour duration is three hours for snorkellers and one-tank
divers. Tours are scheduled to visit Reefworld during a time when there
are few other guests there.

Laguna Whitsundays Golf
Turtle Point Golf Course is located on the mainland at Laguna
Whitsundays. The 18-hole golf course, designed by former US Open and
USPGA Champion, David Graham and partner Gary Panks, offers a true
challenge as the 6399 metre layout meanders through native bushland and
lush rainforest, and is framed by the Coral Sea lapping at a number of
fairways. This trip includes return Air Whitsunday flights to Hayman, an
18-hole round of golf, use of a motorised golf cart, club hire and

The Marine Centre operates a fully accredited 5-Star
PADI Dive and Snorkel Centre, and offers game and bottom fishing trips
and private charters, plus exciting watersport pursuits from the Hayman
Beach and into the Reef surrounds.
Hayman Dive and Snorkel Centre
The Dive and Snorkel Centre, situated within Hayman’s Marine
Centre, is a 5-Star PADI (Professional Association of Diving
Instructors) accredited training facility. Highly qualified dive
instructors conduct a full range of PADI dive courses, escorted day
dives, private charters and snorkel safari trips. Also available is the
hire and sale of dive gear and snorkel equipment, plus access to a guest
storage area and change room facilities.
Dive and Snorkel Vessels
Hayman offers a range of vessels from which guests can enjoy
dive and snorkel activities. These include small speed boats to luxury
cruisers available for private charter.
Dive Courses
Hayman Dive and Snorkel Centre conducts a range of PADI dive
courses to suit guest requirements. If you have always wanted to learn
to dive, do it on Hayman and experience the wonders of the Great Barrier

For the certified diver, Hayman's Dive and Snorkel Centre
conducts excellent guided local diving around Hayman showcasing
fantastic coral and marine life in picturesque settings. Let Hayman’s
experienced dive instructors guide you around the beautiful fringing
reefs of the Whitsunday Islands and deliver you a truly memorable diving
experience.
Discover Scuba Diving
For the novice or guest wishing to see the Great Barrier Reef
up close and personal, who does not hold a dive certification. Let one
of Hayman’s experienced dive instructors take you on an underwater
journey to Blue Pearl Bay where you can see Giant Clams, Maori Wrasse,
Lion Fish, Trumpet Fish, Rabbit Fish and Clown Fish.
Refresher Dives
If you have not dived for a while and feel that you could brush
up on some of your dive skills, one of Hayman’s experienced dive
instructor’s can assist you with some of the basics during your dive.
This will help build confidence levels, making for a more pleasurable
dive.
Game Fishing
September – February
With the waters surrounding
Hayman normally experiencing warm temperatures during this time, warm
water pelagic fish likely to inhabit the region include Black Marlin,
Sailfish, Bluefin Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi.
March – August
With the waters normally a
little cooler during this time, other pelagic fish likely to be biting
include Narrow Barred Mackerel (Spanish Mackerel), Black Kingfish
(Cobia), Giant Trevally, Queenfish, and the occasional juvenile Black
Marlin and Yellowfin Tuna.
Ocean Blue
This 12-metre Riviera fishing
charter vessel reaches speeds up to 24 knots and is excellent for game
fishing.

Bottom Fishing
September – February
This is traditionally spawning time for local bottom fish, which means
their feeding habits can be irregular, however good days can be enjoyed
when they are biting. The most commonly caught table fish in the Reef
waters during this time include Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Sweetlip and
Scarlet Sea Perch.
March – August
This is traditionally the period for local bottom fish to be in their
prime condition, carrying excess fat to survive the cool water months.
Bottom fish can be temperamental however, on good days, will be
available in abundance. The most commonly caught table fish in the Reef
waters during this time include Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Sweetlip,
Scarlet Sea Perch, Trevally and Cod.
Watersports
Complimentary Watersports
Catamaran sailing, paddleskiing and windsurfing are provided
complimentary from the Hayman Beach - during high tide only. Lessons are
available in use of these watercraft. Please be advised tidal movements
do vary considerably on a daily basis which, consequently, impacts on
the times of operation of complimentary watersports during daylight
hours. These watersports are not available at night.
Water Skiing
Water skiing is available for the experienced and newcomers. Hayman's
ski boat, with a learner's bar for first time skiiers and a powerful
225hp engine for advanced skiiers, is available for charter. Hayman's
selection of water skis will accommodate all levels of skiing and give
you the edge when trying this fun sport.

Sea Kayaking
With no prior experience necessary, all you need is a sense of adventure
to quickly master and enjoy the resort's stable sit-on-top kayaks. As an
individual or a couple, family or small group of friends, you can
explore areas including Bali Hai, Goat's Beach, Langford Reef, Blue
Pearl Bay and other local islands. You'll experience a diversity of
marine life without disturbing the 'locals' including turtles, manta
rays and Reef fish. 3-hour and 5-hour sea kayaking tours available.
Inflatable Tube Rides
For the young and young at heart, our thrilling inflatable tube ride is
a challenge for everyone. These fun rides can be enjoyed by a couple or
with a group and there is a free dip in the clear waters for those who
can't stay on.

Sports
The resort offer five floodlit tennis courts, two
squash courts, a nine-hole putting green, a golf target range plus
croquet, table tennis, badminton, snooker and pool, all compliments of
Hayman. The Activities Centre offers exercise regimes, personal
training and fitness equipment and organises weekly sporting challenges
and tennis clinics. Guests can also travel to the mainland for a round
of golf at Laguna Whitsundays Resort 18-hole championship course,
designed by David Graham.
Pools and
Spas
One of the largest pools in the Southern Hemisphere,
the famous salt-water Hayman Pool surrounds the Pool Wing and
incorporates a small heated freshwater pool. The heated freshwater
Lagoon Pool is set among tropical gardens in the Lagoon Wing and has two
spas nearby.
Beaches
The Hayman Beach, lapping the Coral Sea, hugs the
resort and offers year-round swimming and catamaran sailing, windsurfing
and paddleskiing, all complimentary. On the other side of the island,
Blue Pearl Bay One (accessible by foot) and Blue Pearl Bay Two plus
nearby Langford Spit (both accessible by speedboat) are ideal for
snorkelling and picnic lunches.
Tours and
Classes
Hayman offers complimentary self-guided art and
garden audio tours. The art tour provides an insight into the history of
selected artworks in the famous Hayman Collection which is on display
throughout the resort. The garden tour takes in some of the fascinating
botanical species which form part of the island's magnificent garden
landscape. Complimentary tours, conducted by the Hayman team, include
Kitchen Tours of the vast food preparation areas, Chocolate Room and
acclaimed La Fontaine Wine Cellar. Guests can also learn the secrets of
cocktail mixing and join regular culinary classes.
Movies, CD's,
Books and Games
New-release blockbusters are regularly screened in
the Entertainment Centre, at no charge, and in-room pay movies are also
available. The newsagency stocks a selection of CDs for loan. Guests may
borrow books from the library in The Club Lounge. Popular board games
