Flying to the Whitsundays
The most convenient way of travelling to Hayman is via Hamilton
Island Airport where Hayman's launches, seaplanes and helicopters
connect with all incoming and outgoing commercial flights. Jetstar,
Virgin Blue and Qantas operate flights to Hamilton Island from most
major cities in Australia.
Airfares are subject
to availability at the time of booking and must be paid for at the time
of booking. The cheaper fares do tend to sell out quickly, so to get a
low airfare your dates may need to be flexible.

book them online.
A member of the Hayman team greets guests on arrival at Great Barrier
Reef Airport and arranges for the transfer of guest luggage from flights
to the connecting launch, seaplane and helicopter transfers to Hayman.
On arrival at Hayman, the luggage will be delivered directly to the
guest room, suite, villa or penthouse.
Jetstar currently operates
services from Brisbane to Proserpine. Virgin Blue operates a daily
flight to Brisbane and Proserpine, and daily connections to Sydney.
Guests connect to a coach transfer from Proserpine to Shute Harbour
followed by a boat transfer to Hayman. (This is probably not the best
option). A seaplane or helicopter transfer directly to Hayman can be
booked with Hayman Reservations.
Luxury Launch Transfer from Hamilton Island to Hayman
For this launch transfer, Hayman operates a fleet of magnificent sleek
white cruisers - Sun Eagle, Sun Paradise and Sun Goddess - which are
beautifully appointed and provide a unique start and finale to the
Hayman experience. Please Note: There may be a waiting period of up to
90 minutes on the launch prior to departure from Hamilton Island
Airport.
During the launch crossing of the Whitsunday Passage from Hamilton
Island Airport to Hayman, refreshments are served as guests take in the
magnificence of this special setting which surrounds Hayman. On the
arrival cruise to Hayman, all check in formalities are completed
enabling guests to be personally escorted to their room directly on
arrival on the island. Guests can also book their choice of tour,
restaurant and activity during this crossing.

Transfers to Hayman
from Shute Harbour
Hayman operates launch
transfers on the vessel "Sun Experience" from Shute Harbour. Clients
should check in a minimum of 15 minutes prior to departure time. Travel
time to Hayman is approximately 60 minutes.

From Hayman Island - 0700: 1600 hours

Helicopter Transfer
Helicopter transfers are available from various ports. Helireef has a 3
seater Robinson 44 Jet helicopter which is permanently based on Hayman.
2,4,6,8 and 10 seater helicopters can also be booked.

Luggage is restricted to 30kg per person with a total bag dimension
of 140cm (e.g. 140cm = 67cm width + 50cm height + 23cm depth Terms and
Conditions: 1. All flights are operated at the discretion of the pilot
and are subject to weather conditions 2. A cancellation fee of 100% is
applicable to same day cancellations 3. Prices include a 10% Goods and
Services Tax and Marine Park fees Contact Helireef, quoting Hayman as

Reservations can be made on a free sale basis up to 2 weeks prior to
arrival, to a maximum of 10 people. Email Helireef with the following

Private Charter Flights
AIR WHITSUNDAY operates a fleet of private seaplanes and provide
transfers from the following ports. The seaplane prices are per
aircraft, one way, including GST. Aircraft can carry up to 7 passengers
and baggage with weight limitations. For international passengers, who
may be travelling with more than one piece of baggage, normal maximum
capacity is 4 passengers. Prices are subject to change without
notice.
